Mommy 'n Me Circle Time: Gentle Growers

Let go of the hurried pace of normal life. In a quiet, calm atmosphere, instructor Meredith Abrams will use strategies from the widely known Waldorf Education model to create a warm, nurturing environment for observation and discussion of infant behavior. Parents will learn simple circle games and lullabies, share insights from helpful readings and enjoy a light snack. Enrichment skills: fine motor skills, listening and response, creativity, familiarity with environment.
Art Activity: Gooey Gobs and Squishy Stuff - Fun with Materials

If it's squishy, sticky, fluffy, soft, ooey- gooey or rough, little hands will want to investigate. Focusing on discovery through play and materials exploration, this program will highlight different mediums each week. Come dressed for a mess! All classes feature an introductory sensory activity (Mystery Bag, Nose Knows Game, etc.) a Parachute Toss and a Main Event. Enrichment skills: Fine motor skills, critical thinking skills, creative problem solving, concepts: shapes, colors, textures, and patterns.
“Imagitivity” Early Learning Studio

"Imagivitity" is the fusion of imagination and creativity. Drop-in, stop by, and create! Every Tuesday afternoon, early learners can let imaginations run wild in an informal setting as they explore a vast spectrum of materials and art forms. Enjoy a different theme every week! Painting and playing merge seamlessly in this art-based class for explorative young minds. Experience popular mediums including drawing, painting, sculpture, clay, and crafting in new and innovative ways. Munch ‘n Move

Come to snack time with a twist! Join Brandi Thompson, a Registered Dietician for ABCD Eat Right, as she offers a multi-faceted nutrition class that shows kids and parents how to eat, what to eat and ways to stay active. Enjoy scrumptious snacks such as Ants on a Log, Trail Mix and Smoothies. Then get moving with beach ball play, hula hoop fun, fruit toss and more! Enrichment skills: creative problem solving, basic decision making, fine motor coordination, body awareness and confidence.

Saturdays at the Museum now feature FREE signature programs. These dynamic programs engage young minds in creative thought, movement and develop early learning concepts. They are offered FREE for Museum Members and FREE with paid Museum admission for Non-Members.
